Her parents used to call her ''little bug'' until she was christened and transformed into a a bee!
"She looks great in red and yellow," they said.
"Finally, a christening without pink," we responded!
So, we began with the outfits, which were custom-made for both mother and daughter. We borrowed the pattern of the dress as a modern bohemian ethnic bee and worked on that. The invitation, the party favors, the table setup, and the christening were all based on these geometric shapes.
We were captivated by the church's architecture. The arches, combined with natural elements, benches, and even a small coop (!), inspired us to create a cozy atmosphere with meeting places.
At the church's exit, we placed a 2-meter-tall backdrop with printed geometrics to create two new exits for the table. On the shelf, we arranged bath salt favors, children's party favors, and baskets of wild greens on the columns.
On the other side, the table was something else! As always, we avoided the clichéd 'sweets and treats' and followed the parents' preferences! Mini burgers, Caesar tacos, red velvet cake pops, banoffee, cranberry cake, croquants, a naked cake with flowers, fresh lemonade, and banana cherry juice. Even the splashy party favors were a perfect fit for the theme.
For the guests' comfort, we placed tables made of wire-coated materials with fabric and adorned them with the bee's favorite daisies!
Honey bee Katerina, may you always be in the best light, happy, and forever as stylish!
